A little about us and La Ventera
We are a small family of four who run La Ventera - our little cycling hotel. We have a great love for the local area and cycling, and we want both things to be reflected in our hotel. The atmosphere at La Ventera should be familial and relaxing and a place with high ceilings. The hotel is not in the most polished part of Spain, but perhaps one of the most authentic. You meet very few tourists here and the language is Spanish. We live outside the "normal" tourist areas, but still on the Mediterranean coast and here is a rough and fantastic cycling terrain that only a few people know, but in which everyone can find challenges.

La Ventera is a hotel for cyclists. We have an amazing area for both road and gravel, and we can help you with everything. Except your flight :-)
Hotel and rooms
In November 2021 we took over the hotel 'La Ventera' and in March 2022 we opened our little cycling hotel.

The cycling terrain
The landscape around La Ventera offers a tough, beautiful and versatile cycling terrain - but without the possibility of riding new flat routes day after day. But there is plenty of opportunity for new climbs and mountains. The starting point is the town of Gualchos, where the hotel is located, and from the coast you can drive "relatively" flat either east or west. If you move inland, the climbs await, which both in terms of percentages and lengths can challenge all levels.
There are plenty of opportunities to make fantastic routes, and since we are not in a typical tourist or metropolitan area, there is plenty of space on the roads. There is very little traffic here, and there is enormous respect and understanding for cyclists from the heavier road users.
