We can help with most things, and here you will find answers to all the small questions that typically arise. If you have any further questions, please contact us at amigo@laventera.com or via social media.

We have a chef who will prepare a 2 or 3-course menu for you in the evening. Price: £30 per person per night. We use local produce, Spanish dishes and, of course, we make sure your tanks are well filled. Meals are as organic as possible and we try to keep the price low.
Our kitchen closes one or two days a week, depending on occupancy, so that you can also try the local restaurants.
During meals, there is a self-service drinks system. We have a delicious selection of local beers and wines, which you can bring to the table and consume yourself. There are also soft drinks and still and sparkling water.
Just make a note of what you consume and we will pay for it on the last day.
It is also possible to use the hotel café and charge it to your room.
We do not have fixed rules for check-in. In theory, it can be done at any time of day, as it depends on whether there are guests checking out of the room on that same day.
For check-ins between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m., we apply a supplement of €25 per room. This must be selected when booking the room. If this is not done, we will charge the amount when settling the room bill.
Check-out can also be done at any time of day and we do not charge any supplement for checking out outside of normal hours.
We do not clean rooms every day, but we do so every three days if you wish.
It is always possible to change bed linen and towels.
If you can enter Spain, you can also enter our establishment 🙂
We expect our guests to follow and respect any laws and regulations that may exist here, which we will of course inform you about.
The obligation to wear a face mask was lifted in most places on 20 April 2022, but it remains in force in hospitals, public transport, pharmacies and care centres.
If you book less than 4 months prior to your arrival date, all nights, including breakfast, will be paid for at the time of booking.
Dinner, massages, consumption charges and other expenses will be paid for here.
If you book more than 4 months in advance of your arrival date, we can split your stay into two payments. The first payment, corresponding to the first two nights, is payable at the time of booking. The second and final payment is payable 3 months before your arrival date.
You can also choose to pay for your entire stay at the time of booking.
Dinner, massages, drinks and other expenses are paid for here.
There is no right of withdrawal when purchasing stays with us, nor is there any possibility of a refund if the booking is cancelled, regardless of how far in advance this is done and the reason for the cancellation.
If you cancel your booking, your travel insurance will have to cover it.
We have a cancellation offer that covers the event that you are unable to visit us and have to cancel your stay with us.
If you take out the insurance, you will have the option of transferring your stay to another period within the next year, provided that you cancel at least 4 days before the first day of the booking, as this is when we begin to prepare and purchase everything necessary for the stay. Price per person: 30 euros.
As our hotel is located in the mountains, most guests will find it more convenient to hire a car. This will give them the opportunity to take trips to the beach, neighbouring villages or larger cities such as Malaga and Granada.
If you hire a car in Malaga, we recommend Helle Hollis, with whom we have worked many times. They can be contacted in Spanish, Danish and English, among other languages, and if you book your stay with us, we will send you a 15% discount code for Helle Hollis.
Regardless of who you rent your car from, our advice is to do so directly with the rental company and not through a third party.
Our hotel is located between three airports: Malaga, Granada and Almeria. For many, Malaga is the most obvious choice, and prices vary greatly depending on the season and how far in advance tickets are booked.
Norwegian, Ryanair and SAS are the airlines with which it is easiest to find direct flights, and our best advice is to book in advance directly with the airline and not with third parties, as these can often be a disruptive factor if you need to communicate or make changes to your trip.
If you do not wish to hire a car and would prefer us to pick you up or just collect your bike bags so that you can hire a small car, we can also arrange transport from Malaga, Granada or Almeria airport.
Write to us and we will calculate the price for you. Please let us know how many people there are, when you plan to arrive and whether or not you are bringing your own bicycles.
The airport transfer will be paid for when you check out at La Ventera.
We don’t know much about train travel, but it is possible to make the journey in less than two days.
This website is a good place to research the possibilities:

There is a public bus that runs from Gualchos to the coastal town of Castell de Ferro, but it only operates three days a week: Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. On the plus side, it’s free 🙂 It leaves at 9:15 am and returns at 1:15 pm.
